After completing the online registration form, how do I get Blobber on my site?
You need to insert a line of code into the <head> section of the pages in which you want Blobber to appear. This code will be given to you after you have completed the registration.
Why, when I add the required line of code to my page, does only one tab appear at the top saying that the site will soon be enabled?
Either you haven't completed the registration form and then activated each URL entry or if you have then you haven't entered the URL correctly.
Why can't I see any of the Blobber tabs?
The reason is probably that you are viewing the page using a browser other than MS Internet Explorer or a version of Internet Explorer that is earlier than 5.5.
Why do sometimes all the tabs appear on my site but other times only one tab appears saying that Blobber is not yet enabled?
There may be more than one way to reach an URL. For example for most sites it is possible to enter either http://www.sitename.com or http://sitename.com to reach the same home page. In addition sites are sometimes configured so that a different address points to the same site such as http://sitename.net. Consequently it is important in the registration form to enter all the possible variations. Having done that for the home page it is not necessary to register other pages that are in the web site.
Can I place the HTML line of code anywhere in the HTML page source?
The line of code should be placed anywhere between the <head> and </head> tags of any web page which is to display the Blobber interface. In practice this would normally be every page so that an accurate real-time population count is always available.
When I put Blobber on my pages I find that the roll-over buttons on my page no longer work - how can this be fixed?
This is easily solved by giving the z-index of the buttons or their container a high value so that they are in the top layer of the page.
When I test Blobber on one of my pages I notice that sometimes the tabs are over on the left side of the page. Reloading the page often clears the problem.
We are aware of this problem which happens quite rarely. It generally only happens when there are many large images on the page making it very slow to download. The problem is exacerbated by using a very slow connection.
Why do the tabs not appear close to the right-hand edge of the window and when the window is made narrower the tabs change their relative position and sometimes become occluded by the right-hand edge of the window?
We are aware of this problem which is generally caused by certain DocType declarations often used as the first line of a page's source code. This can be fixed by either removing or changing the DocType declaration. This will be fixed in a future version.
